in that condition, i dont mind walking on the beach with a camera in hand too.

in malls, usually are the phillipines workers
in construction sites, is pretty much the same as here in kl, bangladeshi workers
in corporate offices, you see the white ones in power suits and all (sitting in the cafe most of the time)
and then the dubai ppl themselves are normall the wealthy ones as well
so the entire city is made of foreign workers (few times worse than kl), not that nice a sight actually
actually, i have only been to dubai twice only as well
and i dont have the flex to walk around like you did (it's all about attending meetings, client lunches and site visit)
i have always passed by the burj al arab and the world's tallest tower to be, seen the beach by westin and one & only, and been to the mall of emirates a couple of times
so i'm pretty much you have seen more than i did (in a better way too)
and is there a river in dubai??
and the airport sucks too! hah. so damn ugly to be precise]
but i'm glad that my boss pays for everything, stay in a rather nice apartment and good food all the time (and my bosses dont take buses)
whats the currency rate of pounds to dirhams?
its almost one to one for MYR
so.. its really not that nice to spend monie there.. hahOur rate at that moment was GBP1=6.97AED
We spent about GBP17 (AED118) on transport (bus & boat) and a fridge magnet for 2 persons in 9 hours. :D

其实你说的也对
有机会去dubai做工就好
因为当人人油起价喊苦的时候
他们那些家伙还是依然把油当水龙头水一样对待的
所以那边的工作是很好的生活保障
其实在dubai很难见到华人的
鬼佬多，菲律宾人更多
还有dubai不够greens！
如果每个角落都能像他们的world trade center那样有公园有大棵的树就会棒很多了是罗
短期工作看看还好
不好在那里常住
因为我没有看到几个女人上班
都是不懂是那国来的劳工
跟马来西亚坐巴士时一样
看到的都是外国来的劳工
这个是Dubai给我的印象之一

我们office上上下下都没有一个喜欢dubai的
因为
一，太热了 (尤其是现在这个时候！连他们dubai人都要逃来我们这里）
二，太贵了 （这里taxi6块钱，那里60块钱，要命！）
三，太丑了 （呵呵，architecture方面啦，太多东西挤在一堆太杂了，city planner好像没什么审美观。而且整天塞车搞到taxi fare更要命）
四，除了建筑还有建筑还有还没起好的建筑，真的没什么看头了 （话说想去一个距离sheikh zayed rd 40分钟的spice market看看的，可是。。没什么时间啦，而且taxi要整两百块钱来回。。我晕啊）
再说，一天到晚吹大风的。我站在室外5分钟罢了，整个手掌就变得粘粘的 (有够恶心到。。哈哈哈）而且整个傻婆样了，头发乱到完。。哈哈哈
不过如果像老板那样有钱的，情况应该还好啦。。哈哈哈
（去那边千万不要吃回所谓的asian food！你会变得超级想念kl的食物的。。哈哈哈）可能是我去的时间短
没有看到这样的情况吧！
1） 我们二月去，那时候很凉快，比起英国觉得那时候天起很好啊 ^^||
2） 我们那时候只是搭过巴士，觉得不会贵，所以觉得还不错，哈哈哈~ 而且那里巴士站的负责人看到我们排队在很后面还特地邀我们上前，然后让我们上车，虽然我们搞不懂为什么他叫我们去前面插队，不过印象很好就是了
3）丑啊~ 至少还可以看到很多的天空！有相当不错的河边景色和可以到海边走走，好过新加坡到处都是人欧~
4）这个我们主要想尝试一下那里的生活然后到附近国家旅行，所以不是很重要，呵呵~

不過我可以美國轉國際駕照,再轉新加坡駕照,只要考paper test...
